I don't know dude. I'm not sure about that, and I can't believe you are actually thinking this through in public, in a forum like this. Hoboken? Really?

Them are nice. You can't really do wrong if you go over it in person before buying it. The link comes up for me with one in the AC store right now, but, you know, yer in Hoboken and all.

I'm not IN Hoboken now, lol. I was playing that today in one of the Paramus stores. Not bad. I could palm mute comfortably with it. I may trade in my Republic towards it. Maybe not. My Republic doesn't get much playing time at all.

My wife is from Hoboken, lol.

Lousy acoustic tone, fine plugged in.

Godin Kingpin better in every aspect.

My Bass Player and Drummer are both from Hoboken. Well, somewhere around there. That's pretty far from here you know.

I like the Epi Joe Pass quite a bit... I've owned a few of them over the years.

Recently had an itch for another hollowbody to further explore some jazz, and looked at the new "Pro" version with the coil-splitting.

Ended up buying an Ibanez AF71F instead, because it was cheaper (although similar quality) and because I liked the idea of going simpler with the single floating pickup.

I'm also a fan of the Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin, and would have chosen that over the Epiphone if I'd spent more.

Better neck, overall quality, pickups and acoustic sound.

The Godins are the best cheaper "jazzboxes" out there.

I really like Epiphones, in general. They look good, sound great and if you check them out for minor quality faults, on some of them, there's not much, at their price level, that is any better.

Truthfully I think that guitar is more Jersey City than Hoboken.

Give me the Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin II or an Ibanez AF95 first. Just my opinion.

This. I have one (the JP). I'll add it is very comfortable to play (I have 70 year old shoulders). Mine is flawless. Don't know about the Godin.
