Thumbs up D'Addario NickelBronze 12-56

Really brought my Taylor 616 Spruce/Ebony alive.

Always favored my 316 Spruce/Koa until we put those bad boys on.

Nice full sound with booming bass....thanks D'Addario.

I had good success with them on my Taylor 614ce. They seem to be a good match for Taylors.

But for the record I put them on my step-son's Martin D35 and on my Epiphone PR-755s and wasn't quite as thrilled with them on those guitars. They were ok on the D35 but the Epi sound got out of balance with too many mids.

I think they're worth a try if you're looking for a tighter bass and good projection, but it all depends on the individual guitar.

Gave me the tone I was looking for on a custom rosewood jumbo and dropping to a lower gauge 11-52's gave me the balance.
Great strings.

I agree, I use them on many of my guitars, not all but many. As already said, you have to be mindful of the tones. Sometimes you'll get too much in deep tones and other times you'll get a flatter sound. Neither of which are desirable. But when I put the 12-53s on my 1964 J45 boy do they sing! And I really like the 11-52s on my 1934 L-Century they're nice too, gives me the bass sound I want without over driving it.

I liked them. I still have a couple of sets for when I get up the nerve to go back up to 12s... lol
