LR Baggs Venue Hiss When Muted

Hi all.

My partner and I are both having issues with our Venues. Both hiss loudly when muted. We're both powering them off the power adapters that shipped with them. I saw in a thread here that running them off a battery may solve the issue.

Has anyone else experiencing this issue? If so, how did you solve it. I'm tempted to just replace it with a PZ-Pre (I already have one and love it).
