My wife surprised me with a new classical guitar. It arrived last night. A Córdoba Master Series Esteso. Oh my, what a nice guitar. It will take me year to do justice to this little guitar.

Now that's an awesome surprise! That guitar is made for Cordoba in the Navarro workshop in Paracho, Mexico and Navarro classicals/flamencos have a great reputation. Did you get the spruce or cedar version?

Fantastic, this is exactly the sort of thing I need to get my wife to read about! Congratulations to you and have a great time with your new guitar.

Thanks everyone. It is the Spruce topped version, so I can look forward to the tonal nuances of the aging process in the coming years... this guitar has projection, fullness and volume that certainly belays its size. I knew it was made by a Paracho Mexico builder but I did not know which manufacturer it was. Thank you for the great information! I have got a lot to learn about playing on nylon strings!
