Bingo. I couldn't put my finger on it, but this is it.

OK as it is, add a glossy finish and I'd like it. The bigger issue, however, hasn't been addressed. How does it play and sound ?

+1, Ditto and Amen!

It "might" sound good but the grain in that top flies in the face of everything I've read or heard about what makes a good sounding top. Obvious case of YMMV.

I love it - it reminds me of cowboys and leather saddles and the old west. Absolutely love it!

Reminds me of my brain the next morning as a result of too much of a good time.

Wondered when someone would ask that... I met a guy a couple of months ago who had made a guitar out of particle board. It looked... crazy. He handed it to me and invited me to give it a strum or two. Have to say; it sounded very good. And I don't mean 'good for particleboard'.

I kinda like this one, too. Would love to know more about it from the OP

No thanks. Sort of reminds me of the plywood tops that old Harmony guitars are supposed to have been made from.

I like it. I think the rosette is perfect for the guitar.

If it sounds good, I like it more. If it has a great story, I like it more still. If Neil Young plays it, I love it. If EC signs the label and it is sold at GC, it is a bold new statement and they'll be gone before I get one.

I think that what is acceptable in an acoustic guitar is very narrow for most.

For some reason it reminds me of a huge and very cheesy wagon wheel coffee table my aunt had when I was growing up. Is that even real wood? It looks like plastic, with an exaggerated wood grain mold...

This is what I was thinking too. If Eric Clapton or Leo Kottke played one on stage, or if it was made by Ervin Somogyi, everyone would want one.

I still think it's pretty cool looking!
