I love the idea of re-purposing the HOG. I also love the look of the wood on the last (above here) pic. Nice work on the detail and cutaway as well.

Good luck!

Thanks Lizzard!

I love this idea of recycling wood, indeed!
I am still looking for some old uprights with a cabinet made with solid wood.
Someday I'll find a BRW to cut into pieces and make it become a guitar.. !
I hope so!

Haha - good luck then ! "Just send me your old Braz or Adi or whatever you wanted to get rid of for years and didn't know where to put it, I'll kindly accept your old stuff."

Great looking guitar indeed! Nice flame on the hog and clean work. Did you post your earlier builds also here on the AGF? I remember your headstock design so must have seen it somewhere...

Here are two threads from UMGF with which you may or may not be familiar; both discuss Josef Berkmann and the spruce he supplies.

really proud of this joint..

Thank you for your comments!
It's been a nice ride, starting in April and ending about 3 weeks ago.

In a few weeks the guitar will be taken by its new owner, and have great adventures, I hope!

Looks great--nice work! Really like the elegant simplicity. Can I ask what you used for the green purfling lines? Is it a dyed wood? Thanks...
