Default A Resonator "Trio" on the bench.

Here are a few photos of two of the three Resonators on the Workbench at the moment, along with " The Rosellys" Builds. Trying to make a decision on the set for the third. It will be a single cone also. Those new chrome covers don't stay shinny around here long. I like the older worn look. Kind of like me?

Ceabeceabe, Thanks for the comment. As far as my website it is very minimal at this point. I am barely able to keep up now and feel like it would not be something that would make my work any better. Eventually I will update it but not to concerned at this point. Word of mouth along with Facebook are wonderful advertising tools and free.
I got the cover plates done for the Tri Cone. decided to do something a little different than the metal grills. The body will be bound in Cocobolo to match the outer wood on the covers. The bodies are done from the Champion Loblolly Pine and the small half circles on the cover plates are the center of the tree. Thanks for looking, Mike b

Very cool, sir - the instrument in the last pic has a distinct steampunk charm to it.

Thanks Tom, I Really do appreciate the compliment. Makes me feel like all the hard work is noticed. It is a lot of trouble to photo a build and post it, especially without high speed internet.

dnc,
Thanks for the nice words. It looks like it should have some sort of piping running out of it. Humm, maybe some brass tubing for the binding? I have decided to build 4 instead of the 3 mentioned in the initial post. The other two will be Sinker Cypress single cones.

I decided to add two more Resonators to a total of four. This one will have a custom cover I did to resemble an Apple pie. I will name it "American Pie". Might even cut a slice out of it below the Bridge area for an interesting look. These are both Sinker cypress to go along with the two Loblolly.

I hope you put up some demos of them I have never seen wood used as a coverplate or for soundholes.

Slide, I will definitely put some sound clips when they are finished. Will probably be September. I like the fact that it weighs half the weight as the metal cover. Not sure yet if it will go on a spider or biscuit bridge model. Leaning towards the biscuit.

Have the Resonators ready for the finish room. All four will have a thin satin finish. Thanks for looking.
