Default Stress free recording - a cover of Maasaki Kishibe's Flower

Recorded using the Martin. I tried something different as an experiment. I recorded this tune in 4 parts, then combined them. Now I think I can start working on some longer pieces that I avoided due to the length of them and my short memory. Also, it's practically stress free as you don't have to worry about redoing a whole song for one mistake. I should have done this sort of thing sooner, but I was always afraid I couldn't line up the pieces. Turns out you just find your "breaks" ahead of time and pencil it in the tab and off you go. Just keep mindful of your volume and hold your breath,

Barry,

Well, that sounds very good! Well played and good for you for figuring out a way to take the stress out of recording. I was not able to hear where the piece was spliced together, so you did a good job of figuring this out.

That certainly is a very pleasant, catchy tune.

Thanks Glenn! He has a bunch of nice tunes. I'll be able to record them now using this method.

Very nice, Barry. I enjoyed your playing and the lovely tune. And the way you recorded it is used by even renowned artists. So don't think twice it's alright!

Thanks Pippin! Players like yourself and Glenn set the bar really high, I'm just trying to catch up if I can. How's life down under?

Barry, great job of punching in those tracks to make it one. Always enjoy this Kishibe song and so many others. Sounds really good, Barry!

Very nice, Barry! Can't hear the splices. How do you keep the tempo so consistent throughout the 4 tracks?

Thanks Fred! I downloaded a bunch of his stuff. I'm busy working on a few tunes of his now. I even bought a new capo (Paige Clik) to get a better tone.

Thanks Bob! The splicing thing is easier than I thought it would be. I could have done a better job as the splice points do stand out a bit to me, but not by much. It's just a matter of patience.

As far as the steady tempo, really I don't know, but I do practice the song in larger sections than what I did the breaks at and I have played it all the way through many, many times. Hopefully it wasn't beginners luck,
I do think that once you get a song in your head it just comes naturally.

Thanks again for listening everyone. Your kind comments are much appreciated and encouraging.

Great playing!

And so familiar regarding the recording... Sjees

Primavera by Einaudi took me 50 takes or something, haha. One small mistake and it felt I ruined the piece. Grmbl. So annoying
