New Song
New song out. Give it a listen if you have the time and inclination.
here is a link for the streaming service of your choice. https://song.link/kfdvdtfz4zh85 "Gray Sky Over Port Oneida," is a moody, lush, acoustic guitar and cello duet featuring remarkable Polish cellist Joasia Cieślak. The composition was inspired by Port Oneida, part of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, located on the eastern end of Sleeping Bear Bay. From Port Oneida up to Pyramid Point there are many incredible views of Lake Michigan and the Manitou Islands to the Northwest. If you have ever been there you'll get this description –you can look out anywhere along the bluff that follows the shoreline up to Pyramid Point, and witness the shoreline below, the expanse of Lake Michigan, and the flight of gulls in the vast sky reaching out between the Manitou Islands. The raw beauty and presence of nature infuse the view with a sort of primeval power. If you close your eyes while listening, Joasia Cieślak’s cello creates sublime sonic textures that emulate the sky, and the gulls, melding with my guitar to bring the view and moment to life. Cheers! |

James, stellar composition! The reverse delays and other layers in the background were like a subconscious layer of thought happening while listening to the sonic in the foreground. Awesome!

Wow, I’m impressed with your analysis. Very kind of you! Using different stringed instruments sure works magic with melody.
