Pre-war Supertone & Oscar Schmidt at vintageparlorguitars.com
Here's another AGF member only preview of fresh additions from vintageparlorguitars.com. This pair of pre-war 12-frets will jump start your day with a fun vintage vibe. Inquiries and questions welcomed at [email protected].
1930's Supertone 12-fret parlor in x-braced spruce over birch sides and back with classic Supertone proportions cloaked in a vintage amber burst finish. Radius'd fretboard and new frets makes playability a dream. Nut width at 1 3/4" and string spacing at 2 5/16" are generous for this period. Fine projection and resonance. Great all-around parlor with a nice bluesy tone. $799 Pre-war Oscar Schmidt 0-size, 12-fret in a fan-favorite shade of tobacco brown. This guitar was completely rebuilt from the inside out including a fresh adirondack spruce top that brings out the best tone ever....not to mention the original "Stella" headstock overlay. Sweet fingerstyle guitar but awesome when flat picked or strummed. $799

Beautiful.
Steve - I frequently admire your website and the fabulous guitars on there. I gotta say those pre-war guitars really are something special. The Great Depression and WWII really ruined the musical instrument manufacturing in the USA. Thanks |
