Default Nbd!

In the electric sub forum there was a discussion on basses and Gibson basses came up. When I mentioned my recent acquisition of a Gibson ES-335 Bass, I remembered I had not posted any pics, so here it is.

It is a Gibson ES-335 bass. A limited run from earlier this year. I had to pounce on it. Sounds amazing; big, full and strong. Quite a looker too!

Nice case too. Love the brown outside, but I think that the grey interior is an odd color combo.

And one together.

That is sharp looking. I'm not a bass guy but I remember the video of Rick Danko playing a solid body Gibson bass. It's interesting that they made both solid and hollow body basses. Cool.

Thanks Bingocc. It's a keeper for sure.

I have its "sibling" guitar too. An ES-359, pics of the pair are here: http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...d.php?t=357733

After seeing your mention of the post, I went over and looked. That is a sharp effect.

Thanks. It is cool. When I started playing bass that LP double cut was my first. When I decided to take up guitar, I bought the matching guitar.

Congrats Growler! What a great burst on it. I'm sure it will make a great "sibling".
