Default electronics for old acoustic.

Hey guys,

I am setting up an old acoustic I bought in the junk section of a second hand store that is ok quality but had some damage to the soundboard as in a small hole punched through and some bad scratches but really has decent sound. I was planning on setting it up for slide as it has a high action anyway. Also don't mind if I have to alter the guitar physically some and I am going to mount one of the volume or tone controls where the hole is punched through to take care of that. What kind of electronics set up should I use?

Personally, I would go with something like this over installing something. I'm not sure what it costs to have a pickup system installed but I'm sure it's not cheap. These are affordable, sound pretty good, and you can easily pop it into other/future guitars.
