I've attached photos of my 1938 headstock, with tuners min and max overall widths of 3.8" and 4.2" Can you tell me if your '38 is the same?
Yes, I'm out of town but can measure when I get home early next week. Feel free to remind me if I don't do this by midweek :-)

Nice to meet another '38 0-18 owner!

I get similar measurements (3.78" and 4.13"). I've also attached a photo that attempts to show where the G tuner touches the lining of the case (this is a case that is marked 014 that works fine with a Collings 01MhT). The 0-18 certainly will go in, but you can feel/hear the tuner brushing against the lining and with my instrument/case it does touch once otherwise securely in the case. It would probably be fine for home storage but I'd be nervous about carrying the guitar in this case.

It's interesting that I don't have this problem with the D tuner; I wonder if my 0-18 is slightly askew. :-)

This also happens with the 0-18 in my 012 case (which currently houses a 0-16NY no problem), and I think it occurs with my other O14 case that is packed away (I'm sure I tried it at some point).

Ben, thanks so much for taking the time to reply with that detailed info about the tuner button clearance.

Ben, does your Collings 01MhT (or any other 14 fret Collings you may have) fit in the 012 case? It sounds like it from your previous posts, but hoping to confirm

Yes, my 01MhT fits in both; similarly, my Martin 0-16NY fits in both. I don't perceive an appreciable difference between the two cases, although now that I'm looking at the below photos, I'm wondering if the 012 is slightly narrower at the upper bout.

Thanks Ben. The upper bout does appear just slightly smaller based on that pic, but your 14 feet 01 appears to fit just fine. I have a 12 fret traditional case incoming and I’m glad my 14 fret 02h will fit!
