I like all Larrivees but for some reason the old Canadian guitars really have a vibe to me. I even love the "Made in Vancouver BC" on the label. Ymmv.

I've had both but haven't experienced the Canadian ones being built any better. Sometimes they sound better simply because they're older. Larrivee does cleaner work now than ever before through, IMO. Plus, they're using better materials like maple binding, bone nut and saddle, etc.

I made the 200 mi trip to check out the OM-03 black wood model.
This guitar is new old stock, from an estate sale of a Larrivee collector/dealer. Several guitars for sale, all kept in pristine condition with proper temp/humidity. I feel extremely fortunate to have found this guitar, needless to say it came home with me. Thanks for all the excellent feedback. Cheers |

New old stock...
New Old Stock (NOS) The term refers to instruments or parts that were built at some time in the past, but which are in brand-new condition, and were never sold. |

Congrats, enjoy it forever.
What others did they have, if I may ask?

@Rocky,
Several L models, a couple of parlors, and a few D's, about a dozen altogether. Not sure if I am allowed to post a direct link. So, do a search for Milwaukee Vintage on reverb and you should all of 'em. |

I was able to compare the BW to a hog model, and to me the BW was worth it.
Here is a couple of pics. |

Congrats. Glad you came across a stash that you could do some comparing and come away with the one for you.
