Default Which Parlor Guitar Strings?

I bought a cheap Olympia OP-2 parlor guitar for fingerpicking on the sofa. First time I've had a guitar this small. What strings do you recommend? I'm leaning toward Silk & Steel, or maybe a set of Extra Lights? Thanks for the suggestions.

I'd check with the manufacturer's recommendations, but it's generally a fallacy that parlor guitars require lighter than normal strings. The shorter scale means that it requires less tension than normal for A440 tuning. A standard light set should be fine, and I know that Larrivee parlors are also fine with medium strings. If your guitar will handle mediums, I'd strongly recommend them from a tonal standpoint.

I use .010 gauge strings on my Larrivee, but I tune it F# to F#. If it were in standard tuning, I would use mediums due to the short scale.

I like silk and steels on my A and L Ami. I believe that would be much of a personal choice. I've also used nylon folk strings too with much liking. Does John Pearse still make their Nuages (sp??)? I believe they are a sort of silk and steel too.
