Default Layla arranged for Harp Guitar

I took the harp guitar plunge about 7 years ago. I started with a Holloway and then got a harp guitar built by Tony Karol. Recently I got another harp guitar built by Alan Beardsell. The Karol is listed for sale on the classified section.

I encourage anyone considering this instrument to visit Stephen Bennett's website for transcriptions of his music and his Truefire DVDs on the Harp Guitar.

Here's my harp guitar adaptation of Laurence Juber's version of Layla. Guitar neck is tuned to DADGAD the bass strings are FABbCDG (low to high)

So very nice, Randall.
I have a Holloway--one of the early prototypes--and can aspire to play mine at your level. I'm really trying to resist going to look at your Karol for sale ...
like that's going to happen!
I won't be making the HG Gathering either, as officiating for volleyball has my Fall all booked.

I started out on one of the first Holloways. It will get you in the game but there are a lot better guitars available, including my Karol

Beautifully played, Randall. I really enjoy hearing you play that guitar... there is so much depth and resonance.

Any chance you'll now play the slower, bluesy version of "Layla" that EC recorded on, "Unplugged"?

Possibly, right now our group ( harp guitar, harp, cello and violin) is working on an epic arrangement of the game of thrones theme.
