Matt - Have you been out to El Cajon before to tour Taylor and R. Taylor? I met Bob years ago when I toured the facility and have a standing invite to visit R. Taylor (small place as you can imagine) from John DiMaggio. As a big Taylor fan myself it's great to see it and it's always fun for them to meet big fans/customers. Maybe you can even choose the woods and custom build that Holy Grail.

Thumbs up Here's the pic

In order be kind to the store's bandwidth, here's just the link:

Style 2

It's explained here. (Note that this page changes; eventually it won't have anything to do with the Style 2!) There's also another image on that page of a new slotted headstock Style 2.

I would love to go down there. John and I have talked on more than one occasion and he is great! Maybe one day when I finally decide what my holy grail is I will get it made over at R.Taylor... Until then I will just dream about it!

Those are some nice looking R Taylor guitars...

I just bought a new guitar yesterday and haven't even gotten it yet, but I already have GAS from looking at the R Taylor style 2.

I took the Taylor factory tour last year, and then called John to go see the R Taylor shop (since I had been talking to John about the possibility of building one).

I made the mistake of asking if they'd ever built one in all-mahogany. He said he had one in his office. I played it, and ended up buying it.

Exactly!! Some people want to see an argument. I know that we've talked back channel and some should be aware we joke with each other about GAS, that was nothing more IMO.

Default RT Style 2...

I am smitten by that slotted headstock. I was planning on getting a GC7 or GC8. But after seeing that beautiful Style 2, I have to reassess the situation. Should I purchase with Expression System or other brand? What do you guys or gals think? I'll have to ponder over a couple of snorts on the ol' stogie dube.

Mahalo...
