It works nicely with the overall look, even if I may not play up that high on the fretboard very often. As for the forest....well we don't have redwood trees out this way, so this is the next best thing to "growing my own".

Yes she sounds wonderful, and the burl rosette and fretmarkers turned out much better than I anticipated.

editing to apologize for bringing a hibernating thread to the top. I don't know how I even stumbled upon this, but I'm glad I did. This 00 Custom is so pretty I just saved all 59 pictures to my computer.

Chuck, I believe Joel's guitars are among the prettiest out there. Mine is a bit "busy" for some, but I love the design. Not sure if you've gone to his website, but I think his artistic capabilities are off the charts. There are some who do more extensive inlay work, but I believe that Joel does artistic work, not necessarily super intricate. And without a doubt, the guitars (or at least mine) sound awesome.
