Cracked neck repair question
I bought a Matt Heafy Epiphone for super cheap due to a crack in the neck. I figured it would be a good project. I can't open up the crack too much. What type of glue would you recommend for the repair? I have thin and regular CA and titebond. Should I water down titebond or use the thin CA?

Between those choices I would go with very slightly diluted titebond, as after it's all clamped up, you can wash off the excess glue with water, whereas CA is much more difficult o clean up.
But you'll likely get some better informed answers soon, my focus is on build, not repair...

Wow, I'm super jealous. Nice looking materials went into that guitar.
I'm no builder but I'll give you my take. CA is for convenience or for need. This case is neither. With CA you'd have less time to work it into the crack. Wood glue all the way, thinned as desired or required. Me, I'd open it up a little more, enough to use a business card to spread the glue. On my last job the third opening (a back separation on a fiddle) was barely enough to get a razor blade into but I went ahead and opened it to 0.5mm and my weak hide glue filled the seam wonderfully.

TB is what I use for cracks like this. Be careful to assess the type of truss rod and don't glue any moving parts.
Sometimes, splinters prevent the crack from closing properly. In this case, it can be helpful to remove some of the offending splinters to ensure full closure. Then you can glue the thing up tight, and this crack (from the photos) looks like it'll be good as new - if you glue it well.
