Default First run with Peluso P84s on my '56 00-18

Hey everyone - it's been a little while. I recently had the good fortune of snagging a great deal on a stereo pair of Peluso P84's and gave them a whirl today. What fantastic mics! Very balanced and true. Here's a quick clip of my the P84 pair in XY configuration, about 12" from the the 12th fret of my 1956 Martin 00-18. Electric overdubs were done with my CS 63 Tele --> 1965 Princeton Reverb mic'ed with a Neumann TLM102 slightly off axis about a foot from the grill. All mics were run through Universal Audio Solo 610s --> Scarlett 18i8 --> ipad Mini (Cubasis).

The P-84 is my favorite current production 84 style mic. I'll take them any day over the Neumann 184.

Very nice! The P84s sound very articulate without being harsh. I was also impressed by the TLM102.

Oh, and nice playing...

Very articulate. I've been very pleased with the p84s in the short time I've been them. Love the tlm102 as well. I struggled with them for close mic'ing acoustics as they can get a little boomy. But it sounds great for these electric overruns. Like buttah!!!
