I might bring a second guitar, a dirt cheap Xaviere, (laminated bubinga and solid cedar), that will surprise the he!! out of you when you play it.

Hey Jim - I'm planning on attending. Mia has a conflict currently and doesn't know if that can be worked out -- we'll see.

I also told Steven Ford (you'll recall him as the Mando/Gtr player at our August get-together). He says he'd be happy to drive across the alley to attend. What say you?

Looking forward to it!

Sure, love to see Steve again. If I remember correctly, and I do, he played every song I planned on doing right before me. This time I'm sitting on his right side (assuming clockwise rotation). I'll steal his songs!

Ok, next Saturday, Boca Raton, High Noon, be in tune, see ya soon...
If ya need directions let me know. Looks like the attendee's will be ( in no order of importance):

Beach Bob and Mikey
Sharkeydude (solo)
Tom
Keith
JacoDog
Stratokasku ( what the heck does that mean?)
Steve from the west coast
One or 2 of my local pals
Possibly a neighborhood teenager just starting out.

Marian is working up a suitable menu of tasty treats.
Looking forward to seeing you all, any question, comments, wisecracks, let me know.
Cheers,
Jim

Easy... My favorite guitar is a Strat...

The scream a Karate master makes when he or she breaks a brick, a board or a hand... is called a Katsu. That's not what they say, but rather, it's the description of the sound. It means 'the scream of my soul"

It just sort of popped into my head when I was trying to think up a screen name for a forum about 20 years ago. I was reading the book Zen Guitar and came to the chapter named Katsu. Thinking about the name I needed and how Katsu sounded like caster, the Strat part and katsu just fell together.

Some might say I haven't had another creative thought since then.

Unfortunately, over the years I've grown to play about 99% acoustic and almost no electric anymore. I've simply become too well known by that name and changing it to something like Martinkatsu or Taylorkatsu just sound right, does it?

Oh, and please PM me your address so I can just plug it into my GPS. I looked for it in the saved addresses, but it's apparently been pushed out by the quantity in there.
