Default Yamaha Question

Does anyone know what years the Yamaha CG111C were made? Ever since Yamaha took down their guitar archive I have had trouble dating some models.

Right now I have a 1980 G-231 and the CG111C. I'm trying to decide which one to keep. Both sound and play great. I know the 231 is all laminate and the 111 has a solid cedar top. So I would think the 111 was a higher end model than the 231.

I thought the CG111C was still being made, or at least it was back when I was looking at entry level guitars in 2008/2009. In those days they sold for around $300. Guess it depends if you want a guitar that will last another 40 years or one that has already lasted 40 years. If they both play and sound great, you can't lose.
