Very nice!! I've been wondering about the difference as well. I'm probably getting a nylon-string next.

Somehow I like the idea of my guitar being more pure carbon? No logic to this, I did notice the Parlor sides are more flexible that my JM1000.

Congrats, glad you found a keeper! I'm loving my RainSong, now if I could just find more time to play :-/

My RainSong has some Elixir 80/20 lights (the factory-installed strings) right now. After the holidays, I'm going to order a set of 80/20 light-mediums (bass strings light gauge, treble strings medium gauge) since I play 1/2 step down. It's really going to shine then I think!
yeah, mine shipped with 80/20s, and I couldn't take it!

Actually, it was OK, but just a little bright for my liking. I went to my standby, Pearse PB lights, and liked them. Just put on a set of Pearse Nickels, and I am enjoying the limited overtones - I really like them, too.

I plan to try Elixir PBs, and Monels, also. I am just not a super bright guitar guy, so the 80/20s on a CF are never going to do it for me. Funny thing is, though, I took the 80/20s off after giving them about an hour, and put them on my RK. That is muddy with some strings, and needs to be brightened. The Elixir 80/20s breathed new life into that guitar, worlds better than the Pearse 80/20s for that particular guitar.

I guess I am finally understanding the relationship between strings and guitars, but am always ready to be surprised.

Anyway, sorry for the off topic soliloquy - congrats again on a great guitar!
