I've been enjoying the work of some forumites over in the Show and Tell section! (Especially diggin' the "Jump" and "Friday I'm in Love" covers today.)

Saw Martin for the first time a couple of months ago. I'm a new fan. I don't know what took so long, he lives in town.

Big Darrel Scott fan and absolutely love this song "Open Door" and especially this performance. I have added this to my set list

And this group out of Boulder Colorado is pretty interesting really like the unique sound of this song 'Remembering a Beginning" as well the next one up on the que an instrumental 'Ancient Sea"

Well, you did ask... and didn't stipulate a genre, so here's my first encounter with Tortoise. Best thing I've listened to for a long time.

Somehow reminiscent of Zappa

After following them since the '70s, I picked up the latest live DVD from this band and came across this song that inspired me. This song was written while he was staring death in the face from a rare blood disease, Polycythaemia Vera. This is a fairly good cell phone video of another performance:

But if you prefer the studio version:

Josh Ritter. He put on the best shows I've been to and is as gifted a songwriter as I've heard.

No idea what this song is all about ... ... I can make out about every fifth word. ...

Still hauntingly lovely feel to it, with beautiful playing and harmonies ...

I can't transcend from what was to something that can take it from where it left off. One belongs in the past and the other needs to stand on its own merit. Fair is fair. Otherwise, I've left them all and focus on my own now. I find all of the muse I need in it. There comes a time for some of us when the umbilical severs itself.

I am also a huge Martin Sexton fan.
