Default Cut Capo Playing

Wow, so i recently discovered the incredible sound that resounds from a cut capo positioning. EBEABE. It is amazing and has made me fall in love all over again with my guitar, if that's possible. Ive worked through 5 or 6 different chords with it, but I know there's gotta be TONS more that I don't know about. Anyone with more experience playing with this cut capo want to offer some of their favorite chordings? THANKS

Key of E....

E
0CC400

A
54CC00

B
xC4400

F#m
244C00

C#m
x46600

Those are your basics with the capo holding down the A, D and G strings at the 2nd fret. There are all kinds of permutations of those, such as adding 7ths (B7:xC4C00), fretting notes on the b and e strings instead of leaving them open (E:0CC404), chord inversions (E/G#:4CC400), etc. Listing all the possibilities would be exhaustive, so I say experiment and find voicings that work for the music you're playing.

have you heard of Shane Barnard? He is an amazing guitarist who uses the cut capo quite often. You might be able to learn a few more unusual cut capo chords by watching his videos or listening and playing his music. Try listening to "The Answer" or "Name's Sake". i know those two songs use the cut capo with some interesting voicings.

Theres some live videos and MP3s at http://ragamuffin.dyndns.org/FTP/ but apparently the server is down right now or something...

Hope that helps though.

www.worshiptogether.com has a book "How To" that has 40 of the most popular Passion songs in cut capo tab, regular tab, and with Nashville number charts. Very useful book, even comes with a CD.
