I heard that a big storm had had stopped all transit at Portlaoise. Apparently all roads are closed and all air traffic is indefinitely suspended.

Great that it's on its way, Jon! When my Chimaera was in transit not all that long ago, tracking by Irish Post indicated the same as you're seeing. Unfortunately, this latest update of yours from London Heathrow may be the last you'll see until arrival. Although I had read that Canada Post would pickup the tracking, when I checked the CP website, there was acknowledgement that the original Irish Post tracking number was valid, but the guitar arrived a number of days later without any updated tracking once it hit the CP system. Maybe this won't be the case with USPS, but it is possible. Enjoy the wait.

Edit: WHOOPS! I forget that my comment doesn't apply to you since you are in London and your comment about driving to Heathrow flew over my head. *Tom gives his head a shake.*

Yeah, that would be bad. Of course, I hope you find the humor in this: the rest of us paid Sean to send you an empty box... ya know, a little something for all those "fake news" stories. The real box should be along in a day or twelve.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Looking forward to photos when the real box shows up.

Your pal,
Jim

Here's hoping there weren't any Irish holidays around the time it was built or shipped.

Guys. I am completely baffled by both FLICKR and IMGUR ,
I have been struggling with them both in turn for a couple of almost futile hours now.

I can upload from this iPad to the host site OK and sometimes I can succeed in embedding them here, as above and also managed to get one of my cat to work (over on the open mic 'cats' thread)

But I don't really know quite how I did that, it was about my 25th attempt, I had to delete a bunch of the code and just leave the .jpg bit ,,, Did not work automatically.

The really odd thing is that the two pics above are still showing up, although I have now deleted them from host (Flickr)

I'm trying to practise this picture business, which I could do before easily, with Windows and Photobucket..

It don't make no sense

Imgur is incredibly easy. Once you upload the photos to the site, all you have to do is select the photo, set as "large thumbnail" at the bottom of the links, then select "BBcode", copy and paste directly into your post. No need for the little mountain icon as the BBcode contains the image instructions already.
