Thought I'd experiment with some different strings on this guitar. I've been using Eiixir polys on my other guitars for many years. These Martin SP Flexible Core strings are ...... I dunno. Not very flexible?

Jeff, yes my Kinscherff has been with me since late 2000 I think, so about 17 years now. The Adirondack/Koa combination is a winner and the guitar is very open after being played a lot all of these years.

I got the Emerald CF guitar pictured below back in late June, and am loving it. It has a quilted maple veneer over the carbon fiber, and did a blue/green burst that I call my Lake Tahoe Special. It's a great guitar. It has a LR Baggs VTC pickup in it.

Cheers to you my friend!

I'm starting to think that CF guitars are like Lay's potato chips! I have had an Emerald X7 Life for three years (picked it up used - it's an early 2010 model that was bought at the NAMM show) and am already contemplating my next CF purchase. Do I want a Traveller OF660 for the ultimate travel guitar? Do I want a full-size CF six-string? How about a Chimaera???

I'm starting to think that it may be an addiction worthy of a support group, and the folks here aren't helping!

BS;

No, no, we are helping. Where would an addiction be if it was not helped along by an avid support group?

You probably should have a small carry-on like the Journey, and a full sized guitar from one of the big 3. Keep us posted on how your addiction is going and rest assured, we'll support your every effort.

I've heard rumors of a twelve fret program in the works to combat GAS....
But I don't have a problem.

It takes but a single step to start you on your Journey (and Blackbird and Emerald and ...).

Thank goodness I don't have a problem. I can quit any time... you know, if I really want to. I look at the mass quantity of guitars owned by Kramster and Ted, and realize I am just getting started.

Too many guitars and wanting more may seem like a problem of some sort of air bubbles in tummy sorta thing.... What I do is look what guitars I have now...then get more guitars... and then what I have now is really not all that bad.... see how easy to justify? Glad I could help.

And there's this; in for a penny, in for a pound. Life is good, but getting expensive. But we don't take it with us when we go, so like my 86 year old mother once said, "if you want it, get it." I can't quite afford that advice since a Bentley is well out of my range. But carbon fiber guitars? Get em all.....
