Alternative tunings on a baby taylor?
Hey guys. I had ordered a baby awhile ago in hog...still has yet to come (stationed in Japan). But I was just wondering how it holds up under tunings? DADGAD, Open e and things like that. I've messed around with them a lot...but I've always forgotten to alternate tunings and have never experienced it.
Thanks! -Andrew

Actually the aren't too shabby. Using bluegrass (med./light) gauged strings can help increase the tension in the bass strings a bit. Everything on the baby takes a bit of adjustment but works out fine once you get use to it.

You will find that tuning the Baby F to F will help the tone and also help keep it in tune. The guitar needs more tension than standard E to E tuning gives it.

I often keep my Baby Taylor in DADGAD - since I got the GS mini, the BT doesn't get picked up much, so I found this a good solution.
