Back in the 70's (before children) I indulged myself in motorcycles, drugs, alcohol, and "free love."

By the time I got to a point where MLC usually sets in I was all too aware of my mortality. I have pictures of my first wedding in 1975 that have me, my wife, my best man, and his wife in them. By the time I was 25 I was the only one alive.

The nest is empty (well will be again come August, my son is staying with us while he finishes up his bachelor's degree). My current wife and I have been together for 20 years this December. I am relatively healthy considering my misspent youth.

I think I'll just play this guitar.

Default mid-life crisis

Mine started around 50 with traces of it still hanging around. I had a fancy sports car, sold it, now I want another. I've had the fancy vacations, the wife and I are planning another this fall. I still buy/sell guitars, I probably won't stop. I'm happy with my life being a grandpa, a guitar player, and husband.

I passed on the gold chains and ponytails. They wouldn't help, I'm not much to look at to begin with. Would never cheat on the beautiful woman I married 48 years ago. I'm lucky she chose me and to stick with me.

On a side note, I'm finishing Eric Clapton's autobiography, Yikes................
I'd like to hear his response to this thread !

Mine started around 5 years ago, 56 now, don't know when it will end but I wish it would hurry up and get here.

This thread taught me that 30 is old! Ahh, the cluelessness of youth. I miss it.
