Default Casper Mattress

I really need a new king size mattress And I have been doing a little research before purchasing of course and it seems these Casper mattresses get excellent reviews and the price for a king is only @ 1K with free shipping. Anybody who has gone mattress shopping lately finds out real quick that people now pay 2, 3, up to 4K for a new mattress. Well I ain't about to pay that, but I can handle a thousand bucks. They offer a 100 day trial period and money back guarantee if not satisfied and they arrange for the pick up. Sounds like a good deal to me, was wondering if any of you guys have a Casper or know someone who does and if you have any comments you would like to offer up. Never thought I would see the day that a freaking $1,000 mattress is a "good deal!"

I got a king size Sealy Posturepedic "Casoli " a few months ago.. Nice and firm over my solid slatted base, but with a cosy inch or so of soft latex on top.

Very happy with it. About $800 in your language, I think.

I have tried memory foam, and I don't like it, too hot n sweaty and sort of "grippy" when you want to roll around.

I had a bit of sticker shock last time we mattress-shopped, too. Just remember that you spend 1/3 of your life in bed; then it won't seem like such a bad deal.

If you're willing to take a chance an online bought mattress, Amazon has quite a few which have a ton of great reviews for very cheap:

Fwiw I was looking at a Casper king size as it was the only one of the type I kept hearing about. I ended up with a tuft and needle king for two reasons, a bit more firm, and the price. I have Amazon prime so it was 775 shipped to my door in two days. I have only slept on it for a week so no long term results yet, but I've been sleeping like a baby. My beauty rest was less than two years old and it was already like wore out.

I've never even heard of this brand before Andrew. It sure gets rave reviews on Amazon. I am definitely considering one of these. Thanks for letting me know about Tuft & Needle mattresses. And thanks everyone else for your replies, I really appreciate it very much.

Bedinabox has been doing the Casper thing for a long time. We have two and get nothing but compliments on the comfort.

Except I can't sleep on foam Give me springs or give me death!

Default Casper Mattress

-------
I got a sterns and foster from sleepy' that is the best bed I ever had. Cost a chunk of change for a queen size I think it was $2000 but I don't regret it at all.

I'm no mattress expert, but here is a king-sized mattress for $325 and free shipping. 5000+ reviews with a 4.5/5 star average:

http://www.amazon.com/Signature-Slee...words=mattress

No way on earth I'd spend $1000 on a mattress if I can help it.

After some searching, I'm liking the Tuft and Needle mattress. If you buy it directly from them, on their website, they give a 100 day trial period. I think Amazon was 30 days.

So, Wad, have you chosen a mattress yet?

I bought a double sided mattress. You know, the kind that was universally sold until a couple decades ago. Nowadays they're bought by hotels because they have a vested interest in longer lasting mattresses while the average joe is willing to re-up after five years or deal with progressive discomfort.

That said, I'm only in year three of this mattress.

Not yet Jeff, but my wife and I are both very interested in the Tuft & Needle mattress. The Casper seems to be a great mattress, but man that $1000 price tag is giving me second thoughts. Don't think we really want to sink that much dinero into a mattress. The Tuft & Needle will probably be the way we will go. Thanks Jeff.
