Captain;
The X10 has turned out to be my favorite size in the Emerald offerings. I had a "vintage" model which I sold when moving to the X20 size. Then I sold the 20 for a custom new model 10. The 7 is a great small guitar, the 20 is a great full sized guitar. The 10 is a great balance between the 7 & the 20. Alistair has done a good job of offering a full range of guitar sizes. The Baylor pretty much completes that range at the big end. Nice options to have. |

I checked with JR to see if we could do an X10 group buy through AGF, and he shut that down (for good reasons).

The idea is a good one. Years ago a small group of players persuaded Blackbird Joe to produce a limited number of Super OM nylon string guitars. If enough people lobbied Alistair for an X10 he might well oblige. I am currently lobbying for an X10-OSN thin bodied electric At the moment, it seems like the only way to get an X10 is to order a custom. In the long run, a custom is a nice way to go--you get something unique and tailored to your desires. |

While waiting to see what happens next from the folks at Emerald, I was delighted when I went to the Post Office today and... there it was!
New Calendar Day! Of course, I had to look at "Miss February"... A thank-you for being a Select Series owner from Alistair, and in the letter: a tease of "news coming soon." I can't wait to see what they have up their sleeves. And, a thank you to Alistair, Sean, and the crew at Emerald for the lovely calendar! |

The little furry boy has proven to be a music lover... he sits beside me when I am playing (most mornings).
And, that face just makes me smile... That black and teal thing he is wearing is his walking harness... contrary to what Long Jon may have told some of you - that is not my man thong the cat has borrowed. |
