My favorite electric is my Gibson ES-345. For playing with effects and stuff, I like my Nighthawk Custom. Honorable mention goes to the Super 400 I once played, that George Foreman bought.

Now this is a difficult Question.

As far as electrics go,

I absolutely LOVE my Gibson Custom shop L-5 Cesn.
It Practically does it all. I have a 68 Les Paul Custom and a 335 also.

Even though these are all great guitars by any standard, if I had to pick between them it would be the L-5, not the 335 or the Les Paul, Regardless of their vintage.

That being said, I have a 52 reissue butterscotch Tele that amazes me every time I play it, I love the neck. Dollar for Dollar , at $1100 I feel it is the best guitar investment I have made. of course I have made a few minor Mods.

I also have a Strat from the fender Custom shop here in Corona California that would be impossible to give up. I have always been a strat guy. They are very versitale and have that blues/rock thing down.

I guess when it comes right down to it and I could only have 1 electric guitar and money not being the issue. it would be the
Gibson L-5 hands down. What a sweet axe, and like I said it does it all. Blues, Rock, Country, Jazz, no problem.

Mike

The Gibson 335... it is "the" electric for me, having been through several Fender strats & teles, Les Pauls, a Gretch or two and others on the search.

The 335 seemed to combine everything I was lookin for in both sound and feel. And it looks just kickin' too! Mine is trans brown with gold hardware.

My 1965 Gibson L5, which, of course, I no longer own.

However, I think my EC Signature Strat beats all of the others that I've owned.

Another cheapy... good BFTB is the new Gibson Faded series... I just bought one of the brown faded SG's today. Those dual 490's sound pretty sweet.

I played a Gibson Mini-L5 that was unbelievable. Not even sure what the price was just remember that it was out of ny league. Of course when Bobby Hebb started playing, it sounded a lot better. Spoke to Tom Fowle at the Gibson custom shop and suggested they make a whole lot more of them.

the usacustomguitars.com strat that I built. The tone on that beauty blows away and Fender I've ever played!

Unhappy Best electric!

I used to have a gorgeous Gretsch Roc Jet in the early 70's......black top, single-cutaway, solid-body (mahogany). I sold it in the early 80s.....what a dope. Ah, well.........
