Challenge: OPen Tunings jazz chords (Danny boy)
Danny boy is a very easy song to play in DADGAD or Open D, but open tunings and advanced fingerpicking should backup your singing not keep you away from singing the songs I find. I want backup harmonies and fingerpicked melody in same tuning.
So I have this wonderfull harmonization of Danny boy ("Elvis version?) fairly easy in the (strange) EADGBE tuning ("standard" tuning is a strange concept methinks) how am I to play that i DADGAD or Open D. ? suggestions? lets work on this wonderfull song togehter. (Orkney tunings is too advanced for me but I have an open mind) notice you can move bass/root tone downwards which is a very "Beatles" thing to do, https://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/e/e...ny_boy_crd.htm Last edited by Finn Bjerke; 09-18-2017 at 07:31 AM. You can use the same chords you heard in your Elvis version, you just have to put your fingers in different places. Simples!
