Default A tuning that allows you to play every major and minor chord with 2 fingers?

I was watching an interview with Bob Brozman from the past and at about the 5:00 mark he mentions a tuning where you can play every major and minor chord with 2 fingers.

Would anyone happen to know what that tuning is? And what positions for the fingers are used with each chord?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64Ua2lNmIK8&t=130s

In the video it looked like he was only using the top three strings.

He's using open G tuning D G D G B D low to high.

The major and minor stuff he does is using only two strings 1st and 3rd. Then he's running up and down the G major scale harmony.

Code:
D|--5---7---9---10--12---14---16---17----------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|--4---5---7---9---11---12---14---16----------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

If you tune the guitar to G minor (low to high D G D G Bb D) then you can play minor chords by barre-ing all 6 strings, major chords by adding a finger to the 2nd (usually B, now Bb) string.

Note that the root will now be from the 5th (usually A, now G) string, and the lowest string will sound a 5th below that. Learned a lot about this tuning from John Renbourn songs.

Sounds like open G that he is playing. Don't agree with two fingers to form every major and minor chord as practical or very useful. Nice dream though.
