Default Good setup in western NC?

Looking for someone to setup a couple of my guitars. I live between Brevard and Hendersonville. Area 22 guitars is a nice shop but I don't know whether he does tech work or not.

Randy Hughes in Fairview, NC is pretty well known. He has an excellent reputation.

I'm just up the road from you... you can try Tempo Music in Hendersonville.... I've heard good things about them.

I have been using Ken Jones of Mountian song guitars since I moved to the area. He is a world class builder. Dream guitars have his guitars for sale and use him for repairs.
He makes all my guitars sing!!! His turn around time is good and his prices are relatively low, compared to some.

Look up Lawrence Brown in Weaverville. He's an amazing luthier and does some repair and set up business too.

Looks like you've got some good leads - and this one is a bit North-Western NC - but John Boulding in Mt Airy has done fine work for me at a reasonable price.

If you are ever in Boone, NC, go see Bobby and Appalachian Music Shoppe. He's fantastic! (and cheap!)

This is an amazing area to live in. Even farther west than Johnson City is Gene G'Fellers in Greeneville, TN. He's been keeping my old '59 J-45 going for almost 20 years and is an excellent builder as well.
