Forgive this question if you have already answered, but what is your thinking on a partial double side? I get the needed stability for the sound port area, but the rest? Aesthetics? Stiffness? ???
Thanks,
Steve
Hi Steve! This guitar will have a raised fingerboard extension, which gives the instrument a negative neck angle, increasing the forward pull of the neck (and the upward pull of the top). The partial double top is to add a bit of added structural stability to the sides in the neck area, without adding the weight of a full double side.

I'm really going for a very funky vintage vibe with this guitar ... not to everyone's taste, but it's one of my favorite looks personally!

Funky vintage for sure. Both universal and quirky. Nice choices!

Thanks guys ... nice to know there are a few of us out there with a weird vintage bent ("bent" being the operative word in that sentence ... HA!)

Thanks Jon ... that last image "Woodworking Done" is certainly crap, but I should have one with the guitar in finishing in a couple of days that should really pop.
