It's certainly unforgiving. Takes a sharp chisel and a steady hand.

Here's a shot of the first notes leaving the guitar. All the odds and end will be done today. My thoughts when Steve played it for the first time were: "Man, I have a great job!" Warm with a strong bass, I'm waiting to see what the tone fairies brought today.

Great choices and craftsmanship right here...

That quilt maple body/ flame maple neck combo is sweet.

Bearclaw top and quilt maple sides make it look the guitar is constantly moving.

The black headstock and no-inlay fretboard stop it from becoming too busy...

Love it.

Many thanks guys, we appreciate the kind remarks.
Maple/Sitka continues to amaze. These past few have flown in the face of conventional wisdom, which would have us believe such a combo yields thin, even strident results. Not so. This guitar already sounds warm with a powerful low end. And the uppers sound fat and musical. We're pleased.

Just wanted to post some parting shots of this one before it got out of here. I hope you have enjoyed this pretty Maple like we have.

Thanks for following this guitar!

That's a fine looking guitar. The snakewood theme really sets the maple off nicely. Thanks for all the pics
