Are you kidding?

Yep. Regularly. So much so, I am just about disgusted with my craving. Shape up or ship out, I say to myself. Alas ....

I am chomping at the bit to buy a Fender American Vintage "Thin Skin Nitro" '52 Telecaster.

Every time I think about it, my GAS for one makes me a little nuts.

Can you blame me?

Had a similar GAS attack in the past--about 40 PRS electrics ago....
Didn't keep them all. Still have 28.

There's this amazing Soloway Gosling in the classifieds at the moment....I don't want or need another electric, but I keep going into the thread to look at it...and wonder how I could justify getting the cash together!!

Someone buy it, so I can stop dreaming about it!!

I used to get terrible GAS for electrics when I was in my teens/early twenties.

Now I don't really think about them at all. I occasionally play my Tele and Les Paul, but at the moment I'm thinking of selling one of them to fund yet another acoustic.

Hi Rudals…
Once in 1993. American Strat Plus, Midnight Blue, Hipshot spring assembly, with Lace Pickups and a roller nut.

Awesome machine. Same age as my Olson...I had gas for a good acoustic once too.

Nope, not Hans. I've never been to the Experience, but would love to.
Bought my PRSi before 2000 or so. I love them!

What a coincidence! I'm looking to buy my first non-bass electric guitar in about 40 years, and the guitar I'm considering is a 1962 Strat Thin Skin from Wildwood. I was up there playing it last Satruday.

Original owner of a '68 335. Love that guitar. Bought a Tele a few years back. Like new. Hardly played. Might be selling. Also have a beautiful sunburst Strat.
Love my Collings D2H!!!

Yeah I used to keep a Telecaster around for those moments when I felt like juicing it up. But the moments got fewer and farther apart as time went on, so I sold it. No regrets.

Thanks for saving me the embarrassment of being the first to admit it.

The thing about GAS for an electric is, I'm sooooooo much an acoustic player with no real need for an electric, I don't even know why I have any electrics anymore. It was quite the opposite years ago. Just look at my screen name and figure out at some point, I was a devoted Strat guy. (I still am, just with nobody to play electric with)

Somehow though, I keep looking at, trying and selling off electrics.

Electrics aren't guitars, they are a disease.

No need to GAS, already have a ES335S and a Fat strat. Very rarely play them.

I've thought several times that I found "the one," and the GAS subsided. Now I know it's only a matter of time before I get bloated again.

Although I can 3 finger pick with the best of ya'll and a good strummer too, I still prefer my electric guitar for the endless sounds I can get over an acoustic. I have a Gibson Hummingbird, I love and a Yairi, and a Dobro. My Les Paul for playing loud and a USA Strat for easy listening (for me), I like my DeArmond Starfire for my bluesy stuff.
