The guitar is beautiful. I've always been a fan of Michael's work.

Congratulations Diamond Dave. Welcome to the club. That is a nice looking guitar.

Haven't had a chance to play any of Michaels newer guitars. Are they very different tonally?

Hi Burton! Sounds familiar, I felt the same way about YOUR guitar, and now I own it...! Bit by the one strum bug...

I can't speak for ALL of Michaels recent works, but as I was explaining in my review, this guitar has a lot more vintage influence to the tone than any of his older builds I've played... I've always considered his guitars in a pretty strict finger style category...

I recall a podcast interview where bashkin said he had changed his tonal profile in his newer builds to stress oreon the fundamental as compared to his earlier builds.

Thanks for all the comments and views Folks... Go Bashkin!

I just recorded an iPhone clip, I normally play with a thumb pick, but this guitar records too loud and is on crack... I ditched the plastic and went bare fingers and it came through good enough... I don't know how to adjust levels etc, I'm a dummy point and shoot kinda of guy... maybe I'll learn the basics and get some simple gear one day I hope... I hear people talk about compression and eq, and i say WHAT!
