I have been using AER amps for a long time and apart from the renowned sound quality they are extremely reliable. As a portable amp I am currently using an EV Everse 8,I tried the Bose S1 but I prefer the EV.I slightly prefer the guitar channel of the AER and the vocal channel of the EV.

Nothing better than the Genzler Pro, IMO.

Mesa Rosette - comparable to the AER in quality and price. MIA if that’s important to you.

At the other end of the price point spread I hear good things about those BlackStar Sonnets.

Default Amplifier recommendations

Having owned at least a dozen different ‘acoustic amps’ ( my favorite oxymoron) Elite acoustic amps sound the best to me. This is doubly true if a vocal microphone is involved in addition to guitar.

You asked for best.

The best, is a high powered PA speaker, with a wooden cabinet. 15" is best.

I use JBL PRX815

I have never heard an acoustic amplifier that can come close.

I have to agree with the Genzler. Especially the AA PRO. Soooo worth it and just enough of the right features. Great build quality. Incredibly good sound!!

I have 2 old Peavey SP-2's with 15" Black Widows and horns powered by the old XR600C and it all works fine.

All Made In U.S.A. in Meridian Mississippi.

I can line out of my L1-Compact and Carvin AG100D.

I can add a Carvin 1000 watt bass rig with 4:10's and the Redeye tweeter if needed...

I really like my Boss Acoustic Singer Live - handles the guitar and vocals, has chorus, reverb, harmonizer for the vocals and a short looper.

If you're at the higher end of budget options, then Henrikson or AER should be at the top of your list for high-end amp choices. They are both at the top of the food chain along with Udo Da Capo amps.

Three pages of posts and no mention of Henrikson? That's surprising...they are pricey but are worth every penny from my perspective.
