Thanks for advice, makes sense to me. Never heard af dewaxed shellac, and just did an internet search of it and learned more. I want to do your method with it, do you have a link or source to buy some... I searched amazon.com but most shellac had wax.

Using shellac on an area like binding before routing is always a good idea. I've used all kinds of glue for the rosette including, Titebond, LMI White, CA, and Duco Cement. I have not used epoxy but I really can't say any one is better than another. CA is fast and easy though, I really like using it for bindings as well but you have to be really careful.
