Default Gibson Southern Jumbo TV and Epiphone Masterbilt AJ500M

On a snowed in Saturday NJ evening I figured I would throw together a little comparison of my SJTV and my AJ500M.

Both are Spruce over Mahogany, but the SJ is short scale and the AJ is long scale. Also the Gibby has a wider nut, and is a little more comfortable to play, for me that is. The string tension on the Gibby is lower and you can really feel it too... especially when your fingers are tender.

Talking

Rich I like it too.

The AJ500m is just holding a hanger spot until you get bored with your LG2AE

Nice, consistent comparison - it's useless when people compare guitars but play different riffs!

For my ears I preferred the SJ.

Good show, Sal. Ain't a bad way to spend a snow day.

I like both. But that SJ is special.

Default Very nice

Hey Sal. I like that SJ very much, but you know what? That Epi sounded pretty darn good!
