I don't know, the guitar I built to go on the stand was pretty good to look at too...(front and back). I guess either way .

Love this boat.

We just got back from Michigan and there are 4 racing kayaks/surfskis here now. Can't wait to paddle some high mountain lakes and reservoirs.

As a really young kid I built model cars. At 11-13 I was able to build a cedar strip canoe and a skin-on-frame kayak, (from mail-order kits). Too bad we lived in the city and I rarely got to use them.

Good thing I got a "Monkey-Wards" guitar at age 7 to keep me out of trouble.
Playing (and drinking) in bars at 14 may have been detrimental ?

These threads are always good. Lots of woodworkers graduate to building.
Some guys start on instruments as their first experience.

Bring on MORE!

I have made a lot of stuff, including several buildings, not least my current shop. I have a house full of my own furniture, as do several other people. Perhaps I will get around to documenting some of it. Right handy I have a few things:

I literally whittled this stool from local orchard walnut about 35 years ago, and I gig with it both in music and local guitar shows:

I have made quite a few surfboards and windsurf boards, here are one of each in my main shop room, as well as a Giraffe I made with my daughter:

At the moment I am making a fiddle, which starts like this (when I do it):

Here are a couple of cabinets I made a while back, the first one was my TV cabinet for several years... until I traded it for guitar wood The gun cabinet was for my brother.

I'm actually working on 2 display cabinets for a new winery in near lake Hennessey in the Napa valley. They will display 2 guitars I built! They will be in the "library" located in the underground caves. The room is shaped like a guitar and the cabinets are curved to fit the "upper bout" on either side. It's about a 2 month project but kind of fun to get away from guitars for a bit. I'll post some pics if this thread is still active when I'm done.

Could you do a build sequence on it? I'm sure everyone will get a kick out of it.

I see you are doing one, will be watching.

Default Can't seem to include a pic.

How is this done? I have a photobucket account but when I hit the picture icon in the reply to thread tool bar, the program bails. Then I noticed that I may not post attachments. Is that the problem? If so is there some way to get permission to do that?

You can manually add image tags around a photo URL in your post, like so. This way you don't have to mess with the picture icon. NOTE. Remove the two periods ("..") from each IMG tag. I only added them so the tags would appear as text.

It is even easier than described above....just click on the photo you want to post when you are in your photobucket. When it loads look over to the right, there will be 4 boxes...copy the line next to the IMG box then paste that into your normal post on the AGF site and you will have the picture, but you won't see it just some words. Click on preview post and you can see the picture. You don't have to click any picture icon at all this way.

PM me if this doesn't work for you.

Tom
