Default Kronbauer maple jumbo baritone.

The first attempt didn't quite survive the fire, but Trevor is trucking along. Still haven't decided on which electronics.

Sorry to hear about the fire but glad that things are slowly getting back on track! That's looking great; interested to know why you guys decided to go with Maple for a Baritone

I really liked the tone of a Taylor 618e and I wanted a baritone. Decided to mash up the specs since I only have finite space and $. I'm planning on using .013 or .014 strings and using a capo for normal tuning. I find that many store brand 27" baritones have heavy strings and sound different from standard acoustics. 28.6" scale with lighter strings should be a nice compromise in tone and depth. Will tune B-B or C-C depending on the tension/tone.

I have one of Trevor's baritone guitars. I went with a K&K pwm and it sounds great. best deal gong on a baritone guitar.

I second using a K&K. That's what I have in my Myrtle / Adi 27.5" baritone and it sounds fantastic. Myrtle and maple are in the same ballpark, tonally speaking. So I think you can expect good results. When I installed the K&K (3 transducer mini) I moved the bass side element a little bit off center with respect to being directly under the saddle - perhaps around ~1/8" towards the 'X' brace. Intention being tone down the bass a touch as it's pretty heavy already. Worked like a charm - it is fantastically open and balanced.

Hope whatever you chose works out well. Beautiful wood choices you have.

John

I guess I'll give K&K a shot. I used to like B-Band's AST+UST setup until I got my Taylors with ES2. In a perfect world Taylor would have a 28.6" scale option and/or I could get an ES2 for the Kronbauer.

I have one of Trevors baritones. K&K mini-pure pickup works great on it.

Progress! Should be done shortly.

I injured my hand in a crash while cycling. Hopefully I'm recovered by the time it's done. Tendon injury to right pinkie, which only hurts while playing finger style. Can flat pick alright.

He hasn't posted it yet, to my knowledge (and I just checked). I have seen his recent posting of your guitar, which is a real looker. You must be stoked.

Very stoked for the guitar. Hoping my right hand is 100% by the time I get this. Right hand still sore from touching pavement at 40mph.

This is the perfect reason to adhere to a strict course of rehab!
