I was also surprised to see the just released Swamp Ash Special included in this sale. So, GAS jumped in my face and I have one headed my way now. UPS tracking says I'll have it tomorrow. Looking forward to it! I'll post up my thoughts and few pics after I spend some time with it.

I'm not in the market nowadays but keep an eye on stuff anyway and I was also very surprised the other day when I noticed they included the Swamp Ash. Nice deal for you!

Thanks! I have never owned the US made SAS but having played a few I kinda had GAS for years. Since I almost never play electric anymore I could never justify the cost to own one Problem solved with the SE model. Thanks, PRS

I've wanted a PRS for a while... but just went a little wild in buying three 40th Anniversary Squiers (two strats and a tele). Trying to resist the GAS...

That said, anybody have first hand experience with the CE models, kind of tempted to get my flame top PRS fix at the cheapest price point. I know the differences, but wondering about how much the non laminated bolt-on neck really makes in practice.

Kind of want a Paul's Guitar, but am unlikely to pony up the cash...

Yeah, that’s exactly what I heard. And what i planned to do…but hearing the locking tuners aren’t the greatest either kind of put me off. The originals keep in tune ok, though the feel is low end. So I haven’t prioritized swapping them with the locking ones .

Congrats. I love that color. Have you weighed it? Being a semi hollow I assume it is a bit lighter than my nearly 9 pound Swamp Ash Special.

It arrives on Wednesday or thereabouts so haven't received it yet. I absolutely expect it to be less than the two McCarty guitars I own.

Thanks for looking that up. Sounds about right for what I felt with the one I tried.

Congrats, Bonedigger! That’s beautiful! I’m also looking at the semi hollows and am curious to hear your thoughts.

That new blood orange CE looks great, too. And at these prices the Hollowbody II looks appealing as well…

I'm very happy with this purchase. I think I may actually like it better than my SE McCarty 594, and that's saying a lot! It has great tone and the setup was perfect right out of the box. I definitely recommend it.

I also own the SE Hollowbody II and it too is a great guitar. The Hollowbody has its own thing going on so definitely play one first if you can.

Default Please tell me I'm not the only one...

I may need therapy, but how was I supposed to resist the chance to finally get up close and personal with a PRS. I have owned almost every type of guitar under the sun but never a PRS electric. Played a bunch in shops but was never sold at their price point. I even played one of these. For the SDOTD it was a no brainer...
I have even owned an Angelus that my uncle liked better than me and still plays as his primary today.
