Audio Technica AT 2020
Hey friends--
I've read many many positive things about this mic, especially about how it's a very good bang for the buck. Can anyone shoot me a link to a song/clip/vocal/video that's been recorded with the AT 2020? I'd like to hear it in action.. thanks!

I have this mic, and I love it. Of course...I've not had any other mics beforehand, so I guess I'm bound to like it.
Before I bought it, I had a bunch of sound clips, but I've since then removed them. After googling for about 10 mins, I couldn't find a single one... I'll post them if I find any, though. |

Amateur (very) recording -- AT2020 through a MobilePre into Audacity -- not much attention paid to levels. My goal was to get a sonic snapshot with guitar harmony vocals. So what you hear will be the quality floor -- much better can be accomplished with experience, the right room, proper levels, correct mic angle ... . I can also tell you that I've used the mic live into my Ultrasound DS4 amp (which provides the necessary phantom power) to amplify my mandolin. A Berklee buddy of mine with good ears told me it sounded great. I really can't imagine getting better sound from a $100 microphone. - Richard oldWithoutMoney.com Last edited by expatCanuck; 09-20-2008 at 12:32 PM. |

I have had great success with these mics. Hard to beat them for the price. AT now has the 2020USB for straight to computer recording.

I've never used the 2020, but the AT4040 is worth the money!
