Ty! I just finished some extended play. I’m impressed. Which isn’t easy to do. I’m smitten by the color also. I added Schaller strap locks, Fender locking tuners, and treated her to a Fender TSA case.

She fits in very nicely around here nicely…having her own “thing”.

The vintage ‘64 pickups are very, very nice. Smooth and warm, yet plenty of brightness. I a/b’d it with my US Strat. It has a set of 57/62 in it. They both sound and play great, but I believe the tele has a bit more warmth and fullness. I must admit I prefer the Ebony board over the Strat and Gibsons rosewood boards.

Thank you. The color was appealing to my eye as well. I’ve finally been able to play a bit more. My schedule has been a bit hectic. I ended up pairing it with an MXR Timmy and it sounds pretty great. I’m more of a humbucker guy. But I’m certainly not mad at the tone it’s producing.thanks for the kind words and the read!

As I said before, I have a few teles, but my ebony fingerboard one is my favorite to play. Once again congrats on a cool guitar!

Wow! I would have bought that guitar, also!

Although I don't play electric guitar very often, it has been a dream of mine to have an ebony board Telecaster. That and the body color makes your new guitar a real looker... congrats!

I'll say it again... wow!

Is that a 12" fretboard? If so, perfect!!!!

Ty, friend. It’s seeing a lot of playing time. It takes me a few weeks to settle in with new guitars. I don’t buy, sell, trade like I used to. So, when I do add something new it takes some time for me to sort out what that particular guitar “needs”.

I feel like I’ve made it “mine” (setup by me to my liking, minor upgrades mentioned in a previous post). I still plan on upgrading the wiring and pots/caps. They’re not terrible, but I prefer cloth vintage push back wire, CTS pots, etc.

Not really a must, more of a personal preference. Overall it’s outstanding. I have zero regrets. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Thank you! It’s certainly not often you see an Ebony board tele. It definitely added to the mystique of this guitar. I believe it’s a 9.5” radius. It’s a VERY comfortable modern profile. There’s little they could’ve done better here imo. Other than NO GIG BAG…for a decent amount of $$. Do better, Fender.

Overall, not a huge thing. Just a bit cheap, imho. Thanks for reading, and for the kind remarks. I appreciate that.
