Default Carol

Im worried about the verses in this song im working on can someone give me thier thoughts about it?

I met this girl
about year ago
her and i
didnt know
how easy it was
to just fall in love

We hung out
about a month or two
her and i
figured out
how easy it was
to fall in love

and all ive got to sayX2

Is that i liked her
oh carol i liked her
I liked herrrr alot.
yea i liked her

After awhile
it went to far
her and i
didnt know
how easy it was
to Give it all up

a little later
we broke up
her and i
figured out
how easy it was
to give it all up

And all ive got to say
all i have to say

is still i liked her
oh carol i liked her
i liked herrr alot
yea i liked her

And now that we are though
i realized breakin up was just a mistake
carol
carol
carol
i want you back

and all ive got to say
all ive got to say is

that i liked her
oh carol i liked her
i liked herrrr alot
yea i liked her

Please, forgive me, my native language is not English...
Is the phrase, 'her and i didn't know', correct ? Shouldn't it be 'She and I' ?

Right you are, Bern--that was my first impression, too.

And any song titled "Carol" is going to have a tough time erasing memories of Neil Sedaka's classic, "Oh, Carole."

We'd need to hear the lyrics SUNG too, to see if there's any more "there" there poetically.
