Here is my practice area. It is in the living room/pool table room. The kitchen chair gets natural light through the sliding glass doors. The music stand when not in use goes beside the guitar rack. The foot rest is an optical bench from my University days, whatever works.

I agree. I was thinking that there may be a market for this stand if a cabinetmaker took this basic design and integrated it to make an 'ol timey church pew -- with the very square boxy ends and the "seat" in the middle would be the guitar holder. This is the type of bench I'm talking about, but with the guitar stand attached at the bottom of the pews edges. Also, the craigslist in Austin, Texas has these for sale now for $100 each and they would look very good as guitar stands once converted:
