814ce DLX, all day, every day.
That said...my 214ce DLX kicks some serious butt, too...and if forced into a choice, I'd grab both and run like the wind! Believe it or not, I chose my 214ce DLX over my new 614ce, for tone...which is why I still still have the 200 series in my arsenal.

I only have one. My 314ce. I really like it a lot but it’s been a little neglected since I got my D-18, but I do make it a point to play the Taylor at church every Sunday. I really like the new 700’s too. The 714 and 710 are awesome.
Here’s my 314ce:

Awesome pic! And a workhorse of a guitar.

For historical reasons only: Taylor T-5 Liberty Tree guitar.

By far a 914ce. However they are stupid expensive. Also think Stonebridge/Furch does the modern tone far better and more consistent.

I guess the 814CE. I've more of them than any other model. I would like to play a GA5.

My favorite is hard to say. I have a GSCE Maple limited that I love, but I also have played a 712ce recently and it was phenomenal. I would have to play them back-to-back. I can't say I would trade my GS for the 712 even-up, though (assuming I could), and another Taylor is pretty much out of the question. So I'm going with the one I have now. |

I have never played a koa guitar. Is it the looks of koa that you like or do koa guitars sound different, or better, than some other guitars?

The sound, initially. But I love the way koa looks. The first koa Taylor I played wasn't really a looker, and the koa Tacoma I owned wasn't extraordinarily beautiful. I like maple guitars. Koa has a lot of what I like about maple, but tends to have more bottom end and a tone that just seems richer to me.

I like the only one I still have ... PS12. One of the older ones with the Coco b/s. Awesome couch guitar.

The one I own - a 322ce. It's a mahogany top, Tasmanian Blackwood back/sides, all solid woods. It's also a short scale, so bending is much easier with lower string tension. I came to the conclusion that since when I play acoustic out, I'm always plugged in, I did not need the big volume of a Dred, and I really like the smaller body size. I really like the woody voice of the 322ce, it's very balanced top to bottom. It will be a long term keeper.

I played a GS cocobolo guitar at a road show a couple years back that absolutely blew me away. After searching for a taylor cocobolo guitar, I found a PS56ce cocobolo 12-string that checks all the boxes for me. The sound, the sustain, the vibration, the look, the smell, the playability...just wow. This is my lifetime guitar...

I have two, a 612c and a 322 mahogany and Blackwood. I love them both for different reasons but the 322 would have to be my favorite.
